Two Young Poets Unpack Their Broken Hearts for Black Women ...and the Black Men That Hate Us.

Poets Crystal Valentine and Aaliyah Jihad delivered a visceral, soul-purging spoken word piece during finals at the 2015 College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational at New York University. As beautifully constructed as their words and this performance is, it breaks my heart that these young sisters know this level of pain.
