Men In Formation Prove Beyonce's Hit Ain't Just For Girls (VIDEO)


Beyonce's controversial mega hit "Formation" has inspired dancers across the globe to recreate and reinvent the accompanying choreography worldwide. Anthony "Premiere" Davis, along with his friends, dancers Darell Turner, Tyone Pompey, Karlos Clegg, Matthew Talley, Cornell Lydia, Elrody Martin, Marcus Isaiah Ball, and William Pinkney not only put their energy into create a very unique dance routine, but they also captured the authenticity of what it is to be Black, male and queer in the performance. Overall, audiences will be inclined to observe the overall feel of freedom from these gifted young brothers.

No bells. No whistles No gimmicks. Just men dancing... and it's quite compelling.

In an interview with Elle magazine, Darell Turner states, "As a proud homosexual African American man, I felt it was important to extinguish stereotypes in and outside of the dance world," Turner says. "There's a misconception that all homosexual men are flamboyant and weak, so I consciously mixed feminine and masculine choreography together in this number."
